Custom Shopify apps, built around the workflow you already have.
Off-the-shelf apps assume a store that works the way most stores work. When yours does not — a fulfilment rule nobody else has, a pricing model your ERP owns, a catalogue too large for the admin UI to survive — the honest answer is a private app that fits your process instead of a subscription that almost does.
These builds live or die on the boring parts: rate limits, bulk operations, idempotency and what happens when a sync fails halfway. We build them the way we build our own products, and hand them over with the documentation and runbooks that let your team operate them without us.
What the engagement actually contains.
Private apps for one merchant, built around the workflow you already have instead of the one an off-the-shelf app assumes.
- 01
Single-merchant and Shopify Plus builds
Custom apps installed on one store or across a multi-store Plus organisation, with the expansion, market and B2B differences accounted for rather than discovered in production.
- 02
Admin GraphQL automation at catalogue scale
Bulk operations, staged uploads and cursor pagination, written against the cost-based rate limit so a 200,000-product catalogue finishes instead of throttling into a half-applied state.
- 03
Jobs that are safe to re-run
Every pipeline is idempotent and replayable, with a record of what it changed. A failed sync is then a re-run, not an afternoon of manual reconciliation.
- 04
Metafields and metaobjects as a real data model
Structured definitions, validations and admin surfaces your team can edit — instead of JSON blobs only the original developer can read.
- 05
Handover you can actually use
Architecture notes, runbooks, tests and CI in your accounts. The measure of a private app is whether someone else can operate it on the day you need them to.
Where we have already done this.
Our own catalogue, not a case study written for this page. Every name below is public software you can open right now.
Multi-store Plus in production
Our Social Login app runs across three Shopify Plus stores for a single merchant — the multi-store case is not theoretical here.
Easy Reports
A merchant runs 60+ scheduled reports on it daily and monthly, which is the same scheduled-job machinery a private integration needs.
Ten products of our own
Multi-tenancy, roles, audit trails and billing are things we run in production, not patterns we read about.
What people ask before starting one of these.
When is a private app the right answer instead of an App Store app?
When exactly one merchant needs it. A private app skips App Review, skips the billing surface and can hold logic specific to your business. If you eventually want to sell it, the same core can be lifted into a public app — that is a real conversation to have before we start, not after.
Will it survive Shopify’s API version deprecations?
Shopify retires API versions on a published schedule, so an unmaintained app breaks on a timetable you did not choose. We build against a current version, pin it explicitly, and offer a retainer that does the migrations before the deadline rather than after the outage.
Can you work with our existing dev team?
Yes — in your repository, your Partner account and your review process. Most of these builds end with your team maintaining them, which is why the handover is part of the scope rather than a favour at the end.
More general questions — cost, ownership, what happens after launch — are answered on the home page FAQ.
